Film Work

Hi, I’m Alex and I’m here to bring your ideas to life.

Whether you’re trying to work out the shots you need for a high-energy action sequence, can’t pin down what VFX effects need creating for a fantasy scene, or you want some interesting ideas for framing and blocking your characters during a crucial moment of interaction; I’m here to help. As a Storyboard Artist, I will put ideas on paper, transforming your vision into a comprehensive series of drawings.

Storyboards

Give me your script or sequence and I can generate ideas of how to best tell the narrative visually and come up with ideas for compesition, shots and blocking.

Likewise, if you have a shot list or existing ideas for shots I can develop them further and turn them into a comprehensive set of storyboards.

Artwork Development Process

01– Thumbnail sketches

Beginning with initial loose thumbnail sketches to flesh out ideas, I essentially create a ‘skeleton frame’, to which I build upon whilst developing ideas.

02– line work

As the ideas become more finalised, I then go on to tidying up the sketches into line work

03– Finalising the Artwork

Before adding the finishing touches of completed storyboards. I adapt the style and level of finish of the boards to aim for the highest quality of work within the time constraints of the project.
